New Parkour Park

The city of Växjö, Sweden just opened a new outdoor parkour park and it’s very cool.

Working on balance.

Here you can see some of the walls and fences in the background.

I was fortunate enough to be able to try it out but there was much more than I could do that evening. There are numerous bars to balance on and hang from, walls and fences to jump over and a rubbery surface to ease the falls a bit.  You can turn lights on for night time training as we did and it’s open until 10:00 p.m.

Working on balance, there's much to do in that department.

Additionally,  there are covered benches so parents can watch and even picnic tables with grills for family gatherings surrounding the park.

They’ve nailed it as far as I’m concerned!

This is the park of the future. Växjö already has one parkour park so another is really nice. I hope other cities will follow suit.
